Over 100 children,teachers and parents eagerly awaited the results, announced by JimButtress, former Royal Gardener, and presented by the Mayor of BexleyChildren enthusiastically received their certificates and trophies within allcompetition categories-Best School Garden, Best School VegetablePlot, Best School Planted Container, Scariest Scarecrow and HeaviestPotatoes Challenge. Schools from within 20 miles of the garden centre were invited to take up the growing challenge and enter into the competition On the 4th of July all schools were invited to Ruxley Manor's School Awards Ceremony, held in The Mulberry Tree Restaurant. Over 100 children, teachers and parents eagerly awaited the results, announced by Jim Buttress, former Royal Gardener, and presented by the Mayor of Bexley Children enthusiastically received their certificates and trophies within all competition categories-Best School Garden, Best School Vegetable Plot, Best School Planted Container, Scariest Scarecrow and Heaviest Potatoes Challenge.
